Our multidisciplinary and holistic programming is built on a foundation that the arts are a tool for personal discovery and growth. Our programs occur at community sites throughout the area, removing barriers to essential arts education and meeting youth where they already are.
Projects include:
- Sun Prairie Creates: A project in partnership with Community Schools in Sun Prairie, offering youth immersive and creative opportunities in dance, music, art, digital arts, poetry, and entrepreneurship.
- GO-CART: The Community Arts & Recreation Trailer is a joint endeavor with the Sun Prairie Parks, Recreation & Urban Forestry Department, taking arts and recreation activities directly to youth in Sun Prairie’s city parks.
- Make Music Sun Prairie: An annual local and global celebration of music on June 21st. Prairie Music & Arts has coordinated the event for three years, with musical performances and classes taking place at restaurants, businesses, community centers, and outdoor spaces.
- Art for Hearts: Offering take-home arts kits to youth at free summer lunch sites in Sun Prairie.
- Artful Memories: Coming July 2026! Creative programming for adults with memory loss at the Colonial Club Senior Activity Center in Sun Prairie.
