My mother is an artist and my grandfather worked a college music professor, and I grew up surrounded by others that prioritized an appreciation for the arts. I began piano lessons in 2nd grade and later transitioned to the French Horn. I know what an impact these educational opportunities had on my life. When my daughter expressed an interest in piano, I began the search for an opportunity for her to learn piano, appreciate different genres of music, and have fun doing so. Prairie Music and Arts offered exactly what she needed. Twelve years later, I am pleased to serve on the PMA Board of Directors and give back to an organization that gave my daughter a love of music, which will stay with her forever.
With a 25-year background in state government and public service, I hope that I can assist in growing an organization that given so much to others.
