The inaugural season of the GO-CART Community Arts Recreation Trailer hit the road on June 11th!
The project is a partnership between Prairie Music & Arts and Sun Prairie Parks, Recreation & Forestry, taking arts-based and recreational experiences to youth in Sun Prairie directly in their neighborhood parks during the summer and on out-of-school days during the school year.
Activities such as arts and crafts, playing musical instruments, theater games, and recreational activities ensure kids have year-round educational opportunities that support emotional well-being, socio-emotional development, and physical health.
30 dates are scheduled during the first summer, with a calendar of 8 parks. So far, the CART has been seen at Concerts in the Park, the Sun Prairie Dream Park, Pride Fest, and there’s much more in store!
