Mayela Finol

Originally from Venezuela, Mayela Finol has lived in Wisconsin for about 21 years. During this time, she has embraced the roles of a wife and mother to two children. Her academic journey culminated in attaining a bachelor’s degree from Edgewood College, specializing in Art Therapy and Fine Arts.
Professionally, Mayela’s tenure spans over 12 years within the Madison School District, where her focus lies in art education and therapeutic intervention for children grappling with behavioral challenges. This engagement has afforded her invaluable insights into the intricate dynamics of behavioral management and the transformative potential of artistic expression in fostering emotional well-being and personal growth among youth. She is also the mural production manager for Developing Artists and Mural Alliances, a nonprofit organization in Madison, WI, fostering youth development through collective art experiences.
