From Beat to Song with Music Artist Marcus Porter

Inspired by contemporary music and storytelling in popular culture, From Beat to Song is a hands-on music production and songwriting workshop exploring how today’s music is created. Led by Madison-based hip-hop artist, producer, and engineer Marcus Porter, owner of Born to Dream Studio, participants will learn the foundations of beat-making, song structure, and lyric writing in this immersive musical experience.

Grade 6 to Adult
