The Art for Hearts project was started during the pandemic to ensure youth had access to enriching activities while at home. Beginning with three distribution dates in 2020, over 1,000 kits are now delivered each summer at free lunch sites throughout Sun Prairie. Each kit is thoughtfully prepared, providing youth with two weekly age-appropriate activities that expand opportunities to foster creativity, strengthen socio-emotional learning, encourage caregiver-child interaction, and support children’s emotional well-being and academic growth when school is out.
