Our multidisciplinary and holistic programming is built on a foundation that the arts are a tool for personal discovery and growth. Our programs occur at community sites throughout the area, removing barriers to essential arts education and meeting youth where they already are.
2023-2024 projects include:
- Afterschool Arts: A project taking visual art, music production, and instrumental music programming to youth at the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County locations in Sun Prairie. The Afterschool Arts project is generously supported by the Sun Prairie Education Foundation.
- Sun Prairie Area School District Early-Release Days: A project offering arts-based programming to youth at Sun Prairie Parks, Recreation & Forestry locations.
- Sun Prairie Creates: A project in partnership with Community Schools in Sun Prairie offering youth immersive and creative opportunities in hip-hop, music, visual art, dance, and poetry. The Sun Prairie Creates project is supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as the Cap Times Kids Fund.
- GO-CART: A new project starting in the summer of 2024, taking arts and recreation activities directly to youth in Sun Prairie’s city parks. The Go-Carts project is a joint endeavor between PMA and the Sun Prairie Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department and is supported by the City of Sun Prairie and Sun Prairie Education Foundation and its designated funds established by Larry Coulthart and the Lee Buske/Sun Prairie Exchange Club.
