Community Projects

Prairie Music & Arts is proud to partner with community organizations to reach as many children as possible with engaging arts programming.

Past outreach projects have been generously funded through organizations such as the Sun Prairie Education Foundation, Dane Arts, the Madison Jazz Society, and the Foundation for Music Based Learning and have served the American Family Children’s Hospital, Sun Prairie School District, and local daycares with quality after-school arts programming – inspiring hope, bringing joy, and enriching children’s lives.

Current Initiatives Include:

• Partnerships with the Sun Prairie Community Schools and the McKenzie Family Boys and Girls Club to provide visual art and theater activities for youth in Sun Prairie. This project spreads reach to children who have financial barriers and are funded in part by a grant from the Green Bay Packer Foundation and through support from the Dane County Arts & Cultural Affairs.
• Starting in spring 2022, Prairie Music & Arts is pleased to be partnering with the Sun Prairie Media Center to develop The Prairie Home Show. The activity will offer school-age youth hands-on experience in putting together a variety show for tv and radio. The project is being funded through a generous grant by the Sun Prairie Education Foundation.
